Product Description
Detailed Specifications & Features

Custom Impedance Control PCB (±5% Tolerance)

Huayihai fabricates custom impedance-controlled PCBs with a ±5% impedance tolerance. Controlled impedance keeps transmission lines at their target value — typically 50 ohm single-ended or 90/100 ohm differential — so high-speed signals arrive with predictable rise time, reflection behavior, and loss.

Impedance control depends on trace geometry, dielectric thickness, and material choice, all defined by the stack-up. Huayihai reviews the stack-up against the customer's impedance targets before production, then fabricates with 3/3 mil fine-line capability and verifies the result under IPC-A-600 workmanship standards.

Custom Manufacturing Only

We fabricate impedance-controlled PCBs according to customer Gerber files and technical specifications. We do not supply ready-made or standard stock boards.

Key Features

  • ±5% impedance tolerance
  • Single-ended and differential impedance targets
  • 3/3 mil fine-line capability for tight trace geometry
  • Low-loss material options: Rogers, PTFE, Nelco
  • Backdrilling available to remove via stubs
  • Manufactured under IPC-A-600 workmanship standards

Manufacturing Highlights

Impedance accuracy is settled before drilling starts: stack-up geometry, dielectric thickness, and copper weight must support the target values. Huayihai reviews the impedance scheme with the customer, fabricates to the approved stack-up, and verifies finished boards by impedance measurement.

Key fabrication elements include:

  • Stack-up and impedance target review
  • Trace geometry defined from the approved stack-up
  • Material selection matched to loss and impedance requirements
  • Controlled etching for consistent line width
  • Backdrilling of stubs on high-speed channels where specified
  • Impedance measurement and 100% electrical testing

Typical Applications

Impedance-controlled PCBs suit high-speed digital and RF designs:

  • Communication and Data Transmission Equipment
  • High-Speed Digital Boards
  • Backplanes and Connector Interfaces
  • RF and Microwave Modules
  • Test and Measurement Instruments
  • Other High-Speed Applications

FAQ

Q1: What impedance tolerance can Huayihai hold?

±5% on controlled impedance boards.

Q2: Which impedance values are typical?

50 Ω single-ended and 90 Ω or 100 Ω differential are common; targets are set per customer requirement.

Q3: How is impedance verified?

Finished boards are measured against the specified impedance targets before shipment.

Q4: Can impedance control be combined with backdrilling?

Yes, backdrilling removes via stubs on high-speed channels.

Q5: What is the standard lead time?

3–5 working days for PCB prototypes and batches, after file review is complete.
